Ninefinger is a hard rock band that hails from the North Hollywood section of Los Angeles, CA. Their mission is to keep rock alive through their music and their powerful live performances.
Ninefinger gets its’ namesake from its dynamic singer, Mike Winney, who is Mr. Ninefinger. How he lost his finger is a whole ‘nother story for another place and time. Throwing your 9’s up, as it is called, has become a staple at every Ninefinger show. It is a symbol of unity between the band and their fans.
Their high octane live shows are always crowd pleasers and they make new fans wherever they go. They have been touring, playing for the armed forces at different military bases around the country. They love supporting the troops and rocking out for them. Their song, “Live or Die,” was written in honor of the men and women they have met at the different bases.
Many of Ninefinger’s songs have become mainstays for the UFC, featured on all of their main events as well as Fox Sports’ UFC Reloaded shows. Ninefinger is proud to have become one of UFC’s featured artists. They were also the featured band for the first episode of Vimeo and Indee Asylum’s new series, Indee Sessions, that will be appearing on Vimeo in February of 2016. Ninefinger have been playing at different California universities as well as different fundraisers for the Special Olympics and the Lucky Fin project.
Ninefinger just released their new EP, “The Riggs EP,” in January of 2016 and will be mounting a tour in support.
Ninefinger is unpredictable, daring and larger than life. They will have you throwing your 9’s up chanting, “NINEFINGER FOR LIFE!”
